Victoria Beckham Designs Collection to Raise Awareness and Money for World Aids Day
December 1st is World AIDS Day, and Victoria Beckham has been making headlines for the new items she has designed in hopes of raising more awareness for AIDS and the Joint United Nations program, UNAIDS, which advocates for global action on the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
Regarding her intentions, Beckham made the following statement to WWD:
“We have come such a long way in the fight against AIDS. Huge global efforts have created proven results, and more and more people are accessing treatment and prevention services. But we are not there yet. There are still people being left behind due to gender inequalities, stigma and discrimination and lack of resources. I am proud to take a stand, speaking up for change and pushing on towards our common goal of ending AIDS.”
Beckham’s collection can be found at her flagship store at 36 Dover Street, in London, and online at victoraibeckham.com. Items in her collection range in price from $1.50 to $248.00. All of the proceeds will be donated to the UNAIDS organization. For more information, check out her video below!
