Help TRUE Model Christian Birkenberger Raise Money for the Connecticut Special Olympics
“Freezin’ for a Reason”
On March 24th, TRUE Model Christian Birkenberger is putting on a brave face and taking part in the annual Penguin Plunge where he’ll jump into a frozen lake to raise money for the Special Olympics in Connecticut.
Christian has been participating in the Penguin Plunge for 12 years now, and he’s asking for your support in the form of a donation. Don’t worry though –Christian will do the hard part of jumping into the frozen lake while you get to stay warm and toasty while still supporting a great cause (just in a much more comfortable way!)
The Connecticut Special Olympics strives to provide quality year-round sports training and athletic competition to thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities, but they can’t do it alone.
Through the generosity and support of your donation the Special Olympics Connecticut’s nearly 14,000 athletes are given year-round opportunities to develop physical and motor skills, demonstrate courage, and create lasting friendships through their participation in special Olympics sports training and athletic competition.
The Connecticut Special Olympics has become one of the world’s leading social movements in helping to change the public’s perception of people with intellectual disabilities, and Christian is asking for your help to support this moving cause.
