From The Office To A Night Out
From work overload to cocktail sipping in the matter of minutes.
All work with no play leads us to feel burnt out and unmotivated, so when we get that long awaited text from our friends tempting us with a night out after work, it’s impossible to say no. The truth is however, when we’re out getting drinks with our friends we’d rather look like we just stepped off the runway than spent the last 8 hours sitting at a desk at work. There’s no need to cut into time meant for mingling and sipping on cocktails though to stop home and change – you can transition your look from the office to a night out in the matter of seconds! With a little touching up on your makeup, an easy hairstyle switch, and a simple outfit change you’ll be ready to step straight out of your office elevator into even the chicest high-end restaurant, allowing you to spend that extra time that you would have been stopping home to change enjoying your night instead. In order to get you from sending out work emails one second to munching on swanky appetizers the next without missing a beat, we’re here with advice on how to easily transition From the Office To A Night Out.
Outfit
The most important thing to worry about when transitioning from work straight to cocktails is your outfit. Don’t fret though – it’s easier than you think to change an outfit that’s work appropriate into one that’s the right balance of sexy and glamorous for a night out. The perfect way of doing this is to wear a plain black pair of pants, such as a pair of tailored trousers. Pair these with a loose blouse for work, but wear a bodysuit underneath, this way you can easily take off the blouse once your work day is over. Not only will this be an easy outfit to transition from work to cocktails, but if you wear a bodysuit that has details such as a strappy one, it will look cute under your blouse and spice up your work outfit as well – a double whammy!

Hair
Your hair is an easy transition when it comes to heading out for the night after a day of work. A simple, sleek bun is perfect for daytime, and all you have to do at night is let it down. Make this transition even better by spritzing in some hair mist, such as this Miss Dior one, before styling for work. With your hair in a bun the smell will stay trapped inside until you let your hair down and the smell surges out, lasting all night long.
Makeup
After a long day at work it’s likely that your makeup isn’t looking so flawless anymore. That can easily be fixed though! In the morning choose a lip stain that will last all day so you won’t have to worry about re-applying. If you do want to add a little something extra though, sweep across a layer of gloss for some added shine. Another great thing to do is to add some glow to your complexion. Spruce up your cheekbones with some blush for perfectly rosy cheeks.

Shoes
Another easy transition when going from the office to a night out is a switch of shoes. You probably don’t want to spend a long workday in a pair of stiletto heels, but come nighttime you want the added height. For this, all you have to do is pack an extra pair of heels in your bag to quickly switch into before walking out of the office. This way, you’ll have the look for the night minus the pain from being in them all day long.

Jewelry
Last but certainly not least when it comes to transitioning from a day at work to a night on the town is the jewelry. You may already have jewelry on that you’d like to keep on for the night, but if not it’s always important to accessorize! The accessories are just as, if not more, important than the outfit itself, as they pull your entire look together. Depending on what you’re wearing you may not need too many different pieces, but it’s always good to have at least one accessory on!
