Athletic Fashion Company Wants the Internet to Decide it All
Have you ever wished you could have more of a say in how the clothing you buy is produced and displayed?
One athletic fashion brand, Orin, is putting the company into the hands of the Internet. For the next 2 weeks, the brand is asking consumers to fill out a survey that asks for feedback covering everything from the type of active wear consumers want to see more of, to where the clothing should be produce, to what types of models should display the line, and even how much company employees should be paid.
As you progress through the survey, you are instantly able to see the impact of your decisions. The price point of the clothing increases and decreases depending on the choices you make, which is a powerful reminder that you really do get what you pay for. For example, to have a product that is eco-friendly, made of premium fabric in the USA, and is made in an environment where workers get competitive pay – you are going to be paying much more than if you select a lower quality fabric and cheaper manufacturing country. However, the end result of the former is a higher quality product that will last longer, is sustainably made, and that is able to support the lives of others, which may make the price difference more than worth it. Don’t forget to fill out the survey before the 2-weeks is up!
