Rosie Mercado Gives Exclusive Scoop on Setting and Reaching Goals
Rosie Mercado has been making a lot of headlines lately! Her weight loss journey, and her ability to set and achieve goals are inspirational accomplishments. Rosie’s hard work is paying off and she has found a great deal of success as a result of her dedication and perseverance. Rosie shared some of her tips for setting and reaching goals in an exclusive interview with the TRUE Model Blog. Read what she has to say below!

TM: Taking the first step towards change is often one of the hardest parts of the whole process. What is the first move you remember making towards meeting your goal?
RM: The first change I learned to do is having a vision and writing it down. I can get so lost and off track if I don’t have the clarity of knowing where I stand, where I am going, and understanding why I want what I want! A game plan is key to changing your life around and so is discipline, gratitude, and passion, as they all go hand in hand!
TM: Your story is truly inspirational. What advice or words of wisdom would you give to someone struggling to reach their own weight loss or wellness goals?
RM: Best advice I have given is from my dad, a wise man of faith! Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
TM: What are your favorite on-the-go healthy snacks?
RM: My favorite healthy snack on the go is a Hummingwell Wellness Bar, as they are all natural, gluten free, and they have vitamins and minerals! I also have my Yes You Can meal replacement shakes for when I travel. They keep me on track and help me avoid snacking on food that doesn’t serve my body! Don’t forget to drink water, water, water!
TM: What have you found to be the best self-motivator for you?
RM: Tell me who you hang around with and I will tell you who you are! I think it is important to spend quality time with people who have a vision for their life and understand their own life purpose! Specifically, people who live with excellence and are constantly working to become the best version of themselves! I also believe that reading and feeding your soul is important to living an inspired life! Gratitude opens the doors to new opportunities and blessings!
TM: What is your workout routine like? Do you have a favorite type of exercise you prefer?
RM: The famous journalist Maria Antonietta Collins taught me to breathe and walk. Keep it simple, enjoy the outdoors, and take that moment of walking to get clear and move forward towards the life of your dreams. Walking gives us the oxygen we need to release toxins and stress. It gives us the mental clarity to listen to the inner voice that guides us! Keep it simple and get moving, NO EXCUSES!
TM: What qualities do you think make a good model.
RM: Authenticity makes a role model! Knowing who you are and what your unique beauty is!
TM: What kind of things have you done in preparing for your relaunch into the modeling market.
RM: I read to educate myself, listen to Deepak Chopra, Tony Robbins, Wayne Dyer, and Oprah Winfrey to stay inspired! I am working out, eating healthy, and writing down my goals so I can keep track of what I need to do, as my life has changed so much. I have a vision board of what I want to accomplish that I look at everyday! I pray for open doors and I am thankful to be with an agency that has common values and believes in me! I also believe in the power of networking and taking classes to become better in my craft and passion!
